Dr Alka brings with her many years of rich experience in the field of dentistry. The idea of starting Thyme Dental was to provide world class treatment to her patients at an affordable price. Since the time of graduating from BRS Dental College, Panchkula in 2005, she has been an active clinician having worked with corporate setups, government hospital and super specialty hospitals. She completed her Residency from Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi in 2009. She has also done Smile Designing Course from New York, University College of Dentistry at Smile Care (India).
Before starting Thyme Dental, she was associated with Clove Dental as the Clinic Head for a couple of years. She has also served as the Head of Dental Department at BLK Hospital, Delhi. Her stints at Apollo Clinic, Gurgaon and Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon are also worth a mention.
She has also appeared for a Live Health Show on National Television
She has a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. She has persued various advance training courses in different specialties of dentistry. Dr Alka also keeps updating her knowledge and skills with the latest developments in dentistry by attending various conferences and courses on a regular basis. This helps her keep abreast of the latest developments in the materials and techniques used in dentistry. All this is done with the sole aim of providing the best treatment to her patients. To her, her patient satisfaction is most important. Having served the society for almost 16 years, she has immense satisfaction of creating many beautiful, vibrant and sparkling smiles.
A thorough sterilization is very important in a dental clinic. Since dental treatment requires contact with the saliva and blood of patients, Communicable diseases and illnesses can be easily transferred. At Thyme Dental, We follow a strict protocol for clinical hygiene and safety.

All our Instruments are sterilized in a four-step process:
- Manual cleansing to remove deposits and residue.
- All the instruments are then dipped in a dettol water solution for 1 hour.
- All the washed instruments are then transferred to an Ultrasonic Bath Cleanser, which works at different frequencies, and is filled with a strong disinfectant solution. The instruments are bathed for a minimum of 15 minutes in the ultrasonic cleanser.
- All the instruments are then towel dried and air dried. They are then packed in sealed individual pouches. The sealed pouches are then placed in a best in class autoclave that uses pressurized heat to guarantee 100% sterilization.
After every patient, the dental chair is disinfected completely. Wherever possible, we use disposable items, including mouth mask, gloves, shoe covers, patient drapes to name a few, as your safety is most important to us.
