They are highly esthetic filling material. There are lot of other materials available to help choose as per individual needs. Silver amalgam fillings have been the oldest way of filling a tooth. We, at Thyme Dental, strictly do not use any mercury based silver amalgam fillings,as Mercury is a highly toxic metal associated with damage to the kidneys,and also mercury poisoning in rare cases.
